I said goodnight and that I wanted my land free. I turned every switch in the house off and you blamed it on my OCD. I watched a movie last night and it wasn’t good. I made my first real painting about romance ever. I had za’atar for breakfast and I told my mother not to worry about the week ahead. I finally went to the optometrist. I called my best friend last Thursday. I paced around the dining table and waited for a text from you. I said good morning and you said good morning too, anau.
Anau: Tamā’ine is an extension of Anau, a previous activation venturing the continuation of tradition in the position of a compromised identity.
